Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are fighting for a New Way Forward that protects our fundamental freedoms, strengthens our democracy, and ensures every person has the opportunity to not just get by, but to get ahead.
Vice President Harris grew up in a middle class home as the daughter of a working mom. She believes that when the middle class is strong, America is strong. That’s why as President, Kamala Harris will create an Opportunity Economy where everyone has a chance to compete and a chance to succeed — whether they live in a rural area, small town, or big city.

Ruben Gallego is running for Senate to level the playing field for working families and ensure that all Arizonans have the same shot at the American Dream that he did.
The son of immigrants from Colombia and Mexico, Ruben was one of four kids raised by a single mother. Growing up poor, he helped support his family by working as a janitor, a line cook, and at a meat-packing plant throughout high school. Despite his long hours, he earned a spot at Harvard University, where he again worked numerous odd jobs – including cleaning the bathrooms of his wealthier classmates – to pay his way through school.
Ruben enlisted in the Marine Corps, and deployed as an infantryman to Iraq, where his company saw some of the heaviest casualties of the Iraq War.
Ruben will never forget the opportunities this country gave him to escape poverty, and he understands that the American Dream is falling further and further out of reach for many Arizona families — as the rich and powerful in Washington and on Wall Street leave them behind.
Ruben Gallego
Katrina understands this economy does not work for most people. She will invest in working Americans and hold corporations accountable. She believes billionaires and corporations should pay their fair share of taxes just like the rest of us. Katrina will work to simplify the healthcare system and invest in affordable healthcare for all.
Katrina will strengthen our voting rights and support a ranked choice voting system. Katrina stands against Citizens United and will work to get big money and dark money out of politics. Katrina also supports term limits for politicians.
Katrina will work to codify reproductive freedom into law and ensure that our fundamental rights are protected.

Barb is an Arizona native, born and raised in mining communities. She is running because she believes that no one should come between a woman and her doctor. She believes that there must be accountability for the corruption of the privatization of our public school system. She believes that true fiscal responsibility should not leave a $2 billion deficit in our state budget.

The AZ Corporation Commission's most important duty is to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable utility services throughout Arizona. However, none of the current commissioners have science or engineering backgrounds, which is critical for understanding the challenges and opportunities facing Arizona's public utilities. Jonathon Hill will bring this much needed expertise to the commission.
For the past 17 years, Jonathon has worked as an engineer and scientist at the ASU Mars Space Flight Facility, operating ASU's camera on NASA's Mars Odyssey spacecraft and ASU's instruments on the Spirit and Opportunity Mars rovers. He has also provided engineering and scientific support to the University of Arizona's OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission and NASA's Clipper mission, which will explore Jupiter's frozen ocean moon Europa.

Our corporation commission is selling off our future to out-of-state fossil fuel companies. Thanks to the corrupt majority on the commission, our power bills keep going up and up. We can't afford to keep playing politics with our essential utilities. You elect the Arizona Corporation Commission to oversee public service companies like energy, gas and water utilities. The Commission sets the rates we pay each month and the Commissioners are supposed to ensure that the lights stay on and the taps keep running, affordably and safely. Sadly, the current majority on the Commission is failing at their core constitutional duty.

Increasingly, people over the age of 65 in Maricopa County are facing homelessness. If they were renting in low cost housing previously, a fixed income can’t keep up with the spikes in housing costs. If they are homeowners, even if their mortgage is paid off, their property taxes are increasing dramatically while their income is not.

Maricopa County is the second largest voting jurisdiction in the United States with over 2.5 million voters. As foreign powers increasingly seek to meddle in US elections and as elections grow more contentious, Maricopa voters should elect a patriot with national security leadership experience to keep our elections secure, accurate and accessible.
Serving in the military has been the greatest honor of my life, but the greatest threat to democracy isn't a foreign power, it's politicians at home who are willing to peddle lies and conspiracies to get elected., or who try and pick and choose who gets to vote to ensure their own election.
That’s why I’m running for Maricopa County Recorder. The County Recorder is responsible for voter registration and early voting, including all mail voting for almost 2.5 million registered voters. In a state with razor-thin margins of victory, it is critical that Arizonans elect someone whom they can trust to count the votes with integrity.

Nonpartisan elections
IMPORTANT NOTE: Everything below this line will appear only on the General Election ballots on November 5.
Nonpartisan Ballot Measures
initiative - a proposal for new laws, amendments to current laws, or amendments to the Arizona state constitution
referendum - a proposal for voters to veto a current law or part of a law
recall - a proposal to remove and replace a public official before the end of their term in office
Ballot Initiatives, Referenda, & Recalls
Nonpartisan Offices
While nonpartisanship sounds great on the surface, local nonpartisan races heavily favor candidates who are much wealthier. Candidates who cannot self fund their campaigns need organizational support to gain name recognition and reach voters. Nonpartisan races also tend to increase gender and ethnic diversity because when ballots do not include party info, many voters decide based on the ethnicity and gender of the candidate names.
As such, our local organization will recommend candidates—regardless of their party registration—who we believe best support the platform and policies of our local party organization.
Because these are nonpartisan elections, they are held in the November 2024 election.
